Mission

North East Kansas Search and Rescue Association is a not-for-profit organization whose goal is to provide professional level search and rescue services for the North East Kansas area.

1)      Short History of NEK-SAR

North East Kansas Search and Rescue Association (NEK-SAR) was officially founded September 22nd of 2012 when we filed our Not-For-Profit Articles of Incorporation with the state of Kansas we also applied for an EIN which was the first step in applying for our 501(c)(3) status and also establishing our Bylaws and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

NEK-SAR is a not for profit organization.  We rely upon donations to provide our search and rescue dog teams with the certification, training and education necessary to find lost and missing people.

•  Our dog team is made up of Professional Volunteers, donating their time to answer the call of someone in need.

•  We rely upon the community to support our efforts to find the lost and missing.

• The families of victims will never be charged for the services of search and rescue dogs. 

•  Your donation will provide the best chance for someone that is lost or missing to be found.

  Even just $10 will help NEK-SAR dog teams attend  training (in state & out of state)
